Really pleased with this purchase, especially with 50% off.
Dont understand the negative reviews.
The lid fits fine, not overly tight.
The whistle works, not too quiet or loud.
Boils 2 large mugs of water in about 4 1/2 minutes.
Quality seems excellent. No problems.
Made in China? So what! So is your phone!

DO NOT BUY IF WHISTLE IS IMPORTANT

These are handsome solid, well-made kettlesmuch more so than most. Sadly however the WHISTLE is all but USELESS unless you're standing beside the thing while it's boiling, in which case you'd, uhgo figure s e e i t b o i l i n g!!! Which means, it won't stay a handsome well-made kettle for very long, and your house might not even survive it. So buy it if you are NOT looking for a whistling stove top kettle, but if you are GIVE IT A WIDE PASS.
